News!
May 25/12 - I just received word that the Johnson Creek Trail has been CLOSED. Stephen Cameron from Fort Saint John wrote... "This trail is located on private land and the owners have gated the area and are no longer allowing access." Stephen goes on to indicate that the people who were using the area were not respecting the trail leaving behind messes and getting into mischief. :-(
February 6/12 - "ATV Adventures" page has been created. If any of you have some favorite ATV photos and a short story I would be happy to post them on the site!
February 6/12 - Grande Prairie, Dawson Creek, and Fort St. John map files have been updated with new data.
February 5/12 - Thanks to Stephen of the Moose ATV Club in FSJ for his map submission!
October 28/11 - A few new maps have been submitted for the Tumbler Ridge area. The web site has been updated.
October 27/11 - I ran across this valuable little tid bit the other day... Honda ATV service manuals. Might come in handy if you ride red.

Those web sites that collect ATV maps and sell subscriptions to access these maps... please do not take the mapping data from this site and use it on yours! You know who you are.
This web site is brand new (September 2011), so I apologize for not having a lot of content on here yet. Please feel free to send me your GPS maps! If we all throw a couple of maps onto this site, it won't take long and this should become a very handy site for all of us riders to use. I can accept pretty much any file type.
KML, KMZ, GPX, GDB, etc... Thanks everyone!

Welcome to my site!
I used to ride dirt bike as a child and teenager, and then as I graduated, went to college, and started a family, that part of my life slowly faded into the past... until now. Midlife crisis hits and I suddenly realize that I would really like to go riding again! Off to the local Honda dealership I go, and home comes a brand new TRX250X quad, selected as an easy to learn ride that the whole family could practice on.
So, the story continues... As my family and I gain riding skills, we now find ourselves looking for places to ride. Not having been born and raised in the Peace country, I naturally have no idea where to go. After searching the internet for ideas, I noticed that there were plenty of message boards with some text descriptions of places, clues as to where to look for trails, but I generally found few if any sites that actually published free trail map info specifically for ATV and Dirt Bike riders without having to sign up for another annoying account of some type. Naturally, I felt that the Peace Region could use a site such as this one... one that would allow riders to view and download maps for free that can be viewed in Google Earth, or downloaded onto a GPS device without the nuisance of having to sign up to some message board or what have you.
I have seeded this site with my own GPS maps made using my iPhone 4 (the iPhone 3GS works too) and the "GPS Kit" App while riding some of the trails I've found so far. If you like the concept behind this site, please participate by emailing your own GPS maps of trails so that I can post them on this site for others to access and use for free.
Please click on the bar above to select the general area you wish to find maps for.
Happy Riding!
